Bookmark auction

One of my very favourite things to take part in each year is the bookmark auction organised by Sharon Hattersley and the 1st Burley-in-Wharfedale Brownies.

The bookmark project raises money for Katiyo Primary School in Zimbabwe- by auctioning online bookmarks doodled by authors, illustrators and celebrities. This year they hope to build a school library and stock it with books for the children and the wider community as most people don't have enough money to be able to afford books.

Have a look at the auction which is due to start on May 1st 2026. Please place a bid on one that takes your fancy and help the Brownies reach their goal.
